Dear Lord,July 25, 2008
Forgive me Lord,For pushing away the thoughtsYou’ve been speaking and reminding.I tried to pretend nothing’s wrong,Tried to delude myself it’ll soon be gone,yet it’s still there,naked and bare,open to the enemy’s snare.
I didn’t realise that I had become blind,to the very thing on Your mind.I only thought of running away,forgetting that only You can make a way,I didn’t realise that my heart has grown cold,to the very things I had been told;to love, to care, and just be there.
Forgive me Lord,for my faithlessness,for underestimating Your goodness,Your power and Your miracles.
I don’t want to become blind,nor my life to become mine.I don’t want to unable to see,the person You created me to be.In my home, school and ministry,I want You to be proud of me.
And today You convicted me,and gave me a second chance to be,the person You appointed me to be.You told me I will be good enough,and that I can overcome,all that is, and is to come.
I really don’t want to become blind,but Your will to too become mine.I really want to serve You with what I’ve got,Because You are worthy, and deserving Lord.
So dear God,give me a heart of flame,that will bring glory to Your name.No matter what the future may bring,only to the cross I will cling.
Remind me Lord,that this’s the only life I’ve got,It’s not a matter of how long or how short,but what I’ve done with what I’ve got.What I’ve got is what You’ve given me,And I will use that to be who I am appointed to be.
Thank You my Father.
